Vintage Limited Edition Texas Duck Stamps & Signed Print. TX 1 or TX 2
The first Texas Duck Stamp was issued in 1981 and was designed by artist Larry Haden. The print and accompanying stamp depict two mallards; a drake and female, floating in water among some reeds. This print is number 14,718 out of 16,500. The State printed 300,000 stamps but only 136,553 were sold and the remaining stamps were destroyed in January of 1983.
The second Texas Duck Stamp was issued in 1982 and was designed by artist Ken Carlson. This was the the chosen print out of several submitted. The print and accompanying stamp depict a pair of pintails; a drake and female in shallow water. This print is number 3,277 out of 9,500.
The framed item is approximately 18" x 18" and is backed and ready to hang on your wall.
